Excited to introduce the Fall 2024 Collection, now available exclusively at the DayDistrict Online Shop. This collection is a tribute to South Florida, the heartbeat of the brand and the source of my creative energy. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant, fast-paced lifestyle of the tri-county area, I've crafted a line that captures the region’s diverse fashion culture. The collection features traditional Florida-inspired designs with classic imagery and bright accessories. Learn the inspiration of each piece below. Click on each title to shop.
ORANGE PICKER T-SHIRT
This is an image of a Florida man picking oranges in his grove that was licensed from the public library.
DAY LA SOUL T-SHIRT
Referencing classic 90s hip-hop culture, this design pulls inspiration from De La Soul's Stakes is High Album font.
THROW T-SHIRT
Miami's Art and Graffiti Scene is where inspiration was pulled for the throw tee. Miami has some of the best mural and graffiti artists in the world. Wynwood located in Miami's Midtown is where you can find streets and building covered in beautiful tags, murals, and paintings. This shirts gives reference Miami's grafitti culture with it's layered font types of block script and bubble. Colors pulled from the Miami Dolphins.
SKETCHT-SHIRT
This design was originally drawn on a napkin which was stored in my sketchbook for years. It was then recreated in the notes app on my phone and looked cool in print. Not much more to this one.
SCRIPT T-SHIRT
A friend of mine has really nice handwriting. I had her write The Day District over a dozen times on a piece of receipt paper at a restaurant until I found the perfect one.
DIVER T-SHIRT
This is part of a sign for a pool builder in Fort Lauderdale. I drive past this sign almost every day and every time I would look up at it I would think, "I need to put that on a shirt."
WATCH T-SHIRT
"We Got Your Back" is a saying to live by. We are friends, brothers, community and I am there for each and every one of you. DayDistrict has your back. Reference from the Neighborhood/ Crime Scene street signs.
DAY PALM T-SHIRT & PIN
Palm trees are a South Florida icon. This pulls inspiration from the city of Miami's Convention & Visitor's Bureau logo.
